Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development in Island Communities

Description: This training course focuses on the unique environmental challenges facing island communities, including issues such as climate change, natural disasters, and limited resources. The course will explore different strategies for promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development in island communities, such as renewable energy, waste reduction, and ecosystem restoration. Participants will learn about the principles of environmental conservation and sustainable development, including the importance of community engagement and collaboration in addressing these issues. The course will incorporate practical skills and tools for environmental conservation and sustainable development, such as project management, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation. This training will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities of promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development in island communities, and equip them with the skills and knowledge to design and implement innovative solutions in their own communities.

Working language: English

Costs: Participation fee is 120 EUR. Travel expenses from Germany to Guadeloupe (France) and return will be reimbursed up to max. 800 EUR.

Accommodation: The accomodation costs are covered. During the days of the training course participants will be accommodated in Gîtes Mosaïques.  

Travel: You can also stay 2 days longer or arrive 2 days earlier and explore the area at your own expense.
