Interview of Polina Veleva from Bulgaria after the Training Course "Circular and Save" in Berlin
Can you give us your opinion about the training course "Circular & Save"?
The training course "Circuar&Save" was a very interesting way of gaining basic knowledge about the circular economy. During the week it allowed us to get to know the subject, as well as to meet people from many other countries who share the same interests. During the course we used many different methods, so the course was not boring. I am glad that I could be a part of this project.
Why is promoting the circular economy so necessary and why we must move towards it?
Promoting the circular economy is extremely important given the increasing population and the amount of garbage produced. This has a direct impact on global warming and, consequently, makes living conditions more difficult for many people. The move towards circular economy gives hope to stop the rapid changes and save the planet. Without this, it is very likely to drown in a mountain of garbage, with a large number of people not having enough food.
What is the most important thing you have learned during the training? How do you plan to share and use your knowledge?
The most important information I have learned from the course is that it is actually very difficult to achieve sustainable development. Nevertheless, it is extremely important to make every possible attempt to achieve the greatest possible climate neutrality. Each of us should take responsibility for our actions in this matter and try to do as much as possible, even if total neutrality towards the environment is not possible. Personally, this is how I intend to function - to do my best and implement as many ecological solutions as possible, while not reprimanding myself for small mistakes along the way.
